Chris Froome (Sky) has won his third stage of the Tour, narrowly beating Alberto Contador (TST) and Joaquim Rodriguez (KAT) for the win. The double ascent, double descent format of the TT made for some very exciting, very strategic racing over the standard flat power fest. Many of the top GC men performed excellently having very similar times, but Bauke Mollema struggled, JC Peraud crashed in the final 2km after crashing in warm-up and abandoned, and Cadel Evans seemed to take the day off finishing within spitting distance of last place. Tomorrow is the double Alpe d’Huez, and maybe the last real opportunity for any big GC changes.
